Tell me if some of this sounds like you…

  • Your dog’s stress and anxiety gives you stress and anxiety. Your dog’s triggers are now also your own triggers.

  • Getting your dog to trust you to be his Teammate and advocate is a top priority. Helping your dog feel safe in the world is the driving motivator behind your dog’s recovery - not just having ‘an obedient dog.’

  • You’ve done endless hours of deep-dive internet binges to learn how to help your dog. Some of the resources have been very helpful and you’ve got some wins. But you haven’t made the drastic improvement your dog needs and you realize it’s time to work with a coach who can help you decode your individual dog.

  • You want fluency in your dog’s individual stress & bravery behaviors so that you can connect with your dog as the best friends you both deserve

  • You want to work with the best - someone who specializes in dog behavioral problems, stress, and anxiety and uses positive reinforcement and science-backed methods. Maybe that trainer isn’t accessible in your area, or maybe you want to ensure the values of the coach align with your own before working with them.

  • You crave a Community of Dog Guardians who personally relate to your journey and can give reliable recommendations because they’ve been where you are. Having other guardians to lean on holds you accountable and inspires you to stay committed.

  • You want to have control over how fast or slow you and your dog progress through recovery. Move through the recovery at your pace, not be forced to slow down for a class. Or when life strikes, you don’t want to feel like you’re ‘wasting’ your allotted time with a trainer because you can’t fully commit.

This is for PAWrents:

  • With Dogs facing 1 or more of these phobias:  Generalized Anxiety, Hyperarousal / Sensory Overwhelm, Aggression & Reactivity to Dogs and/or People, Leash Reactivity and Pulling, Noise Sensitivity, Territoriality when Guests Come Over, Reactivity to Prey, Resource Guarding, Car Anxiety, Separation Anxiety, Isolation Distress, Hyper-attachment, Stereotypies, General Fearfulness, Leash Pulling

  • Done being “stuck” in management mode of just avoiding triggers

  • Ready to start a proven method that will help them desensitize their dog’s triggers and become Experts in knowing their dog

  • Committed to coaching that prepares them to support their dog for life

  • Crave a Community who relates to Recovery Rollercoaster & can provide emotional and technical advice throughout the journey

  • Willing to show compassion, vulnerability, and safety to other dog guardians ranging in diversity, nationalities, cultures, backgrounds, and experiences

This is not for People:

  • Looking for a quick, easy “fix” to their dog’s behavior problem(s)

  • Who just wanna know ‘the answer’ - unwilling to be coached through finding the answers themselves

  • Resigned to “this is just how life is” and aren’t motivated to make real change in their life and their dog’s life

  • Who are judgmental and unwilling to hold a safe and vulnerable place for their fellow Rover Teams

“A total 180 from where we began.

  • Ballinga has completely overcome his desire to not leave the bedroom for a walk

  • We have all learned how to actually communicate with each other.

  • His biggest improvement is becoming more comfortable around his Dad - 98% of the growling and barking has stopped

  • His noise triggers have significantly decreased

  • He is exploring more of his yard and practicing “being a dog” wherever he chooses

My husband and I are feeling complete freedom from being lost and wondering if this relationship would ever work.

We have reframed our thoughts entirely and KNOW that B will thrive and be happy with us - we all just needed to learn and accept a whole new level of patience surrounding all of it.

We have since started traveling with him and feel completely free from any barriers that held us back before and feel an immense amount of optimism for our future all together.”

“Jenna has exceeded our expectations as a trainer.

I know she puts all of herself into this program and into her teams and it is apparent in how she treats everyone. Her directness has been SO needed because it is done in a kind and helpful way.

She isn’t someone who just says something so you get it quickly, she wants us to learn and grow along with our dog. She makes herself available for communication – celebrations and areas of need.

She is like a dog fairy godmother by granting wishes and helping those who feel down in the dumps.”

A program that will teach you to break down behavior and training in bitesize parts, so you and your dog will

train the way (and at the speed)

that suits your life.

“We all are leading a less stressful life.

We will always be in recovery and implementing what we learned to continue to progress our reactivity journey with Gracie [but] we can continue to implement on our own for years.

It was not about memorizing a few key concepts but instead learning how to frame and approach problems.”

“If you’re interested in RR, here’s what I say:

Take a step back and identify where you are currently and where you’d like to be.

What are the barriers in your way, and do you have the tools to work through the barriers?

Do you have a support system? Do you have a plan?

If not, then this is a great resource.

I don’t know of other programs that have an online curriculum, workshop videos, or have other guest speakers on for other related topics.

It is all a fantastic experience!

It is so reassuring to see/hear other’s stories/situations and be able to relate and engage in discussions/provide feedback.”

“It’s a challenge to do anything with our dog.
It’s a challenge to do anything without our dog.”

This is the struggle Guardians with a dog facing
so many triggers and stressors understand.

  • Every walk, every family gathering, every outing - You’re constantly planning and scheming in your head on how to avoid your dog’s triggers

  • When you do take your dog out, you must be ready to leave at any moment in case she starts getting too nervous

  • You worry about how to explain your dog’s behavior to friends and family who might judge your dog and criticize how you train

  • You’ve missed family vacations and holidays because your dog can’t be home alone

  • You can’t have friends or family over to your home

  • And when your dog is highly stressed, you are also highly stressed. Your dog’s anxiety gives you anxiety.

Now Imagine Your New Lifestyle with Your Dog

  • A clear training plan each day – you know precisely what triggers you’ll focus on and what challenges your dog will successfully overcome. No need to avoid triggers today!

  • You don’t have to be hypervigilant out with your dog because you have the muscle memory to tackle any trigger that comes your way

  • Take your dog for a drive in the sun without whining, pacing, drooling, panic

  • Your dog is so much calmer around the house, and you can actually be on a phone call without your dog having a panic attack

  • Clear scripts to say that coordinate with strangers, friends, family, veterinarians, and groomers to best keep your dog happy

  • Date nights with your partner while your dog stays home alone – you won’t be looking down at the doggy cam the whole time

  • You have a relationship with your dog built on trust, compassion, and communication

We are all about Rover Team WINS

When we started the program, we were feeling very defeated and lost. Ollie is a sweet dog, but was petrified of other dogs, humans, going on walks, going to new places, and being alone. We worked with a local trainer when we first got him as he was an older puppy and had not been socialized or been outside much. The trainer taught us some skills, but we were not making any progress. Ollie was still shaking like a leaf when major triggers like dogs or humans came close, and we were unable to leave him alone for more than 3 minutes. We could tell that Ollie wasn’t fully happy and enriched, and we were not able to do things outside the home, have people over, or do things that we loved.

[Now] We are in a much better and brighter place now. Ollie has a clear enrichment plan that allows him to have different opportunities to play, learn, grow and rest. As a team, we have been able to leave Ollie home alone for over 30 minutes and work in the front yard while Ollie sleeps and lays on the couch. Ollie is able to play in the park and run around. He is happy!

Ollie still has some goals, but we feel equipped to take on challenges and bumps in the future. We are empowered!

I have loved the Membership! It is about finding the wins, embracing questions and change, and putting in the effort with the encouragement of a team.

Recover Rover is a commitment, but a commitment to improving your life, your dog’s life, and your future. You will be in a safe community where you have individualized training in a group. Change is possible, and you can do this. Take the leap and you will NOT regret it.”

“When we joined, Deja was intimidated by all new sights and sounds. She was overwhelmed anywhere off of our dirt road. Hearing another dog had Deja feeding off their energy. We couldn’t go anywhere except for 2-3 parks or isolated hiking trails. Deja would bark, lunge, and pull towards all triggers if they were within 20 feet. Deja lived in an extreme state of fear after dark, barking at triggers we could not identify at an auditable level.

Deja now can actively work through a visible and audible dog, not only recalling but using her safety ‘middle’ (behind me replacement). She is mostly relaxed after dark, minus specific triggers. She has learned to let her Mans (dog dad) to pull into the driveway and enter the house at a much calmer level and safely ‘go say hi’. Deja can be within 15 feet of multiple cars driving at 45+mph! She will observe while comfortable and opt out or check in when she needs to. Complete autonomy around cars!

The level of details I understand about Deja is so much deeper than before. I am so grateful Jenna taught me how to look at Deja’s body language as an individual.

Jenna is exactly what I needed in a trainer. She kept me accountable to our principals and would always ask how the data proved my theories. Approaching the problems with a more objective scientific thought process has been incredible for our journey. She also never ever let me go unsupported. If I needed an answer, I got one. She is incredible at knowing your family and your dog. I have so much trust in Jenna.”

“[When we joined,] we were in crisis mode to say the least. We were having weekly reactivity episodes between the dogs. Nia was triggering Groot very often, even just during regular play time. Nia was getting increasingly scared of Groot and my reactions towards them. We were in a horrible place. My work was suffering because I was constantly worried about them together and couldn’t focus.

Walks were non-existent because they were both severely triggered by other dogs and Nia more so with strange people. Car rides were very difficult as well.

We are all in such a better place now. Groot and Nia are actively working on their relationship. I can take them both places now in the car, to the park, etc. Their anxiety and reactivity in the outside world has greatly improved.

You won’t regret the time, energy, or cost of this program. It’s totally changed my relationship with and view of my dogs. I was quickly reaching a breaking point thinking that I would need to rehome my baby boy (Groot) because I didn’t know what other options there was for us and I didn’t have the knowledge to know how to handle their individual issues. Now, we have a bright future together.”

“Since the beginning [of working with Jenna and the Dog Liaison Coaching Team], we have seen Tucker be able to be closer to his triggers out and about and continue to play and sniff around. Not only is he able to disengage better when cued near a trigger, but we can see him making great choices on his own. Now instead of low, panic scampering away or pulling toward and barking at a trigger, he often moves a bit closer to take a look, sniffs, and them moves on his way.

The Membership has been amazing for keeping me and my husband on the same page with Tucker’s training, and has helped my anxiety, when out with Tuck, a ton. We’re all more relaxed, and definitely have way more fun!!

Soooo worth every penny and then some! Once, you’ve experienced it you know, it’s priceless! We are so grateful to have found the Rover Community!”

When we decided to join, we had tried both in-person trainers available in our town and surrounding area.

Walks were stressful for us, and getting out of our walkway surrounded by a row of townhomes that we live in was always an ordeal.

We really couldn’t ever relax on our deck or backyard (or even have a peaceful dinner) because anyone walking by would set him off.

Tension was high between me and Ian, and with Franklin because we’d get emotional after a tough day with him.

[Now] Franklin is playing more, communicating with us more (let’s go this way, let’s get out of here!), and able to go to the vet with less anxiety.

He’s able to sunbathe and relax with us on our deck, even while there’s a ton of activity going on around us.

He’s also prompted us to go on new trails during walks that before would make him too afraid.

This program reinforced that we can overcome triggers with positive reinforcement techniques only.

“We wanted to move into a stage of our training not constantly based on management.

We wanted to be able to help Zaatar change his feelings about his triggers

As a result of Recover Rover, we can go to places that we previously couldn’t because they were too busy and likely stress inducing.

I’ve been able to trust him more to handle situations that he previously couldn’t.

Our relationship has evolved into a more playful one, which I think is a result of less stress in his daily life.”

“We’re in a much better spot

with Otto thanks to the Membership.

Otto has regained his own confidence and the confidence in us as his parents.

Otto is much more apt to spend time in different areas of the house, no longer using the dining room as a crutch.

He is also less sensitive to sound and is willing to leave the house to go on walks and sniffaris in the woods near our house.

We feel much more confident in our abilities to read and understand Otto, and understand that if a triggering event presents itself, we will work with Otto to get through the event and ensure he can decompress appropriately afterwards.

I also think we can empathize with him in a deeper way.

He looks to us for guidance and we know that we can give him what he needs to be comfortable, happy, and independent.”
